Epoxy Floor Coatings
A tough, glossy coating for garage and shop floors, bonded to a slab we've ground clean so it holds up where hot tires turn and park.
Bedrock Spring Valley Concrete Coatings is a flooring contractor coating, polishing and resurfacing concrete in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix, mostly garage floors, patios, pool decks and basements, plus some shop floors.

Casa de Oro and Mount Helix are unincorporated neighborhoods south of El Cajon and east of La Mesa, so the County of San Diego is the local government here, not a city. Your mail may say La Mesa, Spring Valley or El Cajon, but those postal names don't always match the County's community lines.
The work here is mostly garages, patios and pool decks at houses on the slopes around the Mount Helix peak, where a lot of driveways are steep. We're a flooring contractor based in Spring Valley, CA, and we do the same work down in La Presa, but hillside jobs need more planning. A steep, curving drive changes how we get the grinder and dust vacuums up to the slab. A garage or patio that's been sealed or painted a few times over the years has to come back to bare concrete before anything new will bond.
Some addresses here fall under a city and others under the county, so I check with the right office first. If a permit is needed, we walk you through it and handle our part.
The state's small-job exemption from a contractor license, now $1,000, only applies when the work needs no permit and the person hires no help. We're fully licensed and insured, so you don't have to wonder.
Price turns on slab size, how much old coating or damage comes off, and the finish you pick. Timing turns on that prep and the cure, and the estimate gives you your own number.
A tough, glossy coating for garage and shop floors, bonded to a slab we've ground clean so it holds up where hot tires turn and park.
For shop and warehouse owners, we coat floors that take carts, forklifts and spills, and we plan the work around the hours you're open.
Garages are a big share of our calls up here, often with old paint or oil soaked in, which we grind out before laying a coating that stands up to hot tires.
A coating that cures faster than standard epoxy, so the garage is back in use sooner, and it holds its color better in sun by an open garage door.
Poured epoxy with metallic pigment that swirls into a deep, marbled look, good for a garage turned home gym, a finished basement or a game room.
A heavy-duty floor for shops and commercial kitchens that see heat, hot water and chemicals, laid thicker than epoxy so it takes hard use.
We grind your existing slab in stages and polish it to a hard sheen, a low-upkeep choice for a living room or studio on a slab foundation.
Acid or water-based stain gives a patio or indoor slab warm, mottled color, and because it soaks in instead of sitting on top, it doesn't peel like paint.
Epoxy terrazzo with glass or stone chips set in and ground smooth, for an entry or lobby where you want color, pattern and a surface built for heavy foot traffic.
Basements and lower levels on sloped lots can pull moisture through the slab, so we test it first and pick a coating that handles what we find.
We grind the slab open so a coating grips it instead of sitting on top. Nobody sees this step once the floor's done, but it decides how the floor holds up.
A clear sealer for driveways, walkways and patios that slows stains and water soaking in. It's the simple fix when the concrete is sound but starting to look tired.
When a patio or garage slab is worn or pitted but solid underneath, a thin overlay gives it a new surface without tearing it out, and I'll tell you if it isn't solid.
A pourable overlay that flattens a slab with dips or old patches, so tile, vinyl or a coating lies flat on top of it in an older room or addition.
Pool decks behind houses up here take chlorinated water and bare feet, so we resurface or coat them with a textured finish that gives better footing when it's wet.
If your floor has epoxy, paint, carpet glue or tile adhesive on it, we strip it down to clean concrete, because a new floor is only as good as what's under it.
Send the form and we'll reply within one business day to set a time. I'll come out, look at your slab and write the estimate, free and with no obligation.
I come out to every job and write the estimate after seeing your slab, then our crew does the prep and coating. You won't get a price from someone who never saw the floor.
If your slab has moisture, cracks or old coating, I'll tell you plainly what it can handle, even if that means a simpler floor than you had in mind.
We clean up so your garage, patio or basement is left the way we found it, only with a better floor, and the work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
Straight answers to what homeowners here ask about permits, licenses and getting a concrete floor started in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix.
The County of San Diego issues them through its Building Services Division, because Casa de Oro and Mount Helix are unincorporated. That's true whatever city name is on your mail, so the County, not a nearby city hall, is the office to ask. It handles permits for both homes and commercial buildings here.
The County decides, so I won't guess at it for you. It says some projects are exempt based on things like size and location, though exempt work still has to follow its zoning rules and health and safety codes. If you're unsure, the Building Division hotline at (858) 565-5920 takes questions, and I check before we start either way.
Yes, for some kinds of work. The County's online services let owners apply for a minor residential permit or get an Instant Permit for listed types, including window and water heater replacement, roof-mounted solar, EV chargers and electrical service upgrades. For other work, the division's forms page has a handout for each kind of application.
No. The County requires no business license for work in its unincorporated areas, which includes Casa de Oro and Mount Helix, though other rules and permits can still apply. The state contractor license is a separate thing, and it's the one that decides who can take on a job like this.
We're based in Spring Valley, and these are the cities with their own page here, not the only places we work. If you're not sure we cover your address, just ask.
Call (619) 648-8003 any day, early morning until 9 PM, or send the form and I'll set a time to see your floor.
